Sustaining clean, reliable water through shared responsibility, practical stewardship, and respect for our Camano Island setting.
What we Believe
- Water is a shared resource. Every household’s choices affect system capacity, affordability, and long-term availability.
- Efficiency strengthens resilience. Thoughtful water use helps reduce strain on wells, reservoirs, pumps, and maintenance reserves.
- Transparency builds trust. Clear reporting, member education, and accessible records help everyone understand how the system is performing.
- Conservation starts at home. Small actions – limiting outdoor use, fixing leaks promptly, and choosing efficient fixtures – add up across the association.
How Members Put Conservation Into Practice
- Review quarterly usage and aim to remain within the association’s conservation target of 250 gallons per household per day.
- Check promptly for leaks, especially in toilets, irrigation lines, hose bibs, and seasonal properties.
- Landscape with drought-tolerant plants, mulch, and watering schedules that reflect actual weather conditions.
- Treat tiered water rates as a reminder that higher consumption carries a shared community cost.
- Support maintenance and capital planning that keep water safe, dependable, and efficient.
